The Youth & Family Ministry at Leoma is active almost daily. There are many opportunities to serve and fellowship together as families and as a group of young people. Here are a few of our normal activities:

- Five-Talent Training Service - Young men, ages 5th grade and down, lead a devotional period every Sunday morning to begin our adult Bible class in the auditorium.
- Fall Hay-Ride and Campfire Devotional

- Winter Ice-Skating Trip to Point Mallard in Decatur, AL
- Family Camp - A weekend full of fun, family, and devotion on the lake at Camp Neyati in Guntersville, AL.
- Horizons & RUSH - Two leadership training camps for teenagers at Freed-Hardeman University
- Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes Program
- Prom Alternative
- Youth Summit
These are just a few of the activities/programs our youth and families participate in year-round.
The Young at Heart group is made up of our senior members. They travel, work on service projects, and support other ministries within the church. Each year we hold a special banquet honoring our members over the age of 65. This Golden-Age Banquet is a huge hit every year. The Young At Heart also serve as a great group of mentors and role models the the younger members of the church.
The Dorcas Ministry meets together usually twice a month to sew dresses, boy's shorts, and diapers for children in need around the world. The clothes are then distributed by Healing Hands International. Everyone is welcome, no matter their age or skill level. There is a place for everyone: some cut fabric, iron the clothes, sew, and other offer some "hands-on" instruction.
There are four Care Groups with one meeting every Sunday night of the month. These groups receive the names, phone numbers, and addresses of those who have requested prayers or encouragement. During the week individual groups members encourage those who are in need in some way by way of cards, calls, and even personal visits. Their purpose is to encourage the church at Leoma and also to reach out into the surrounding community.
The Leoma church holds two devotional services per week at various nursing homes and assisted living facilities in our community. Every Monday night (6:30pm) a group of men gather to lead a singing/devotional service at the Summit Assisted Living facility in Lawrenceburg. Then each Friday morning another group men lead a similar service at two of the nursing homes in Lawrenceburg. The Friday morning service is held at Countryside (10:30am) one week and then at NHC Scott (10:45am) the next week and continues on this alternating schedule. The services typically last around 30 minutes each, but the fellowship and visiting time can continue much longer.
The Leoma church is actively involved in radio ministry. Searching the Scriptures (12:45pm Weekdays on WDXE 1370AM) is a cooperative effort among churches of Christ in Lawrence County to reach the radio listeners in our community with a daily 15 minute radio spot discussing the Bible. What Matters For Today (twice-daily on WLX 97.5FM) is a one-minute daily radio spot conducted by Rodney Livingston each week.
These events typically occur every month. They are designed to provide a free service to members of our community with the hopes of building relationships with all who attend. The #1 goal is to teach them the Gospel, but we also believe strongly in returning good to the community. Below is a list of events for 2014.

The elders at Leoma oversee the Jack Nelle Institute in Vijayawada, India. JNI is comprised of an orphanage, a widow’s home, a preacher training school, an elementary and high school, and a 2-year college.
